If your child was born in 2009, the time has finally come to send in those kindergarten applications! This year, the Department of Education has introduced Kindergarten Connect, an online system that allows you to complete the application process online. In addition, there are kindergarten open houses and tours coming up at a few of our local schools.

PS 139 (District 22)
330 Rugby Road between Beverley and Cortelyou Roads
Date: Friday, January 24 at 8:30am

PS 217 (District 22)
1100 Newkirk Avenue between Coney Island Avenue and Westminster Road
Date: Tuesday, February 4 at 9am

PS 249 (District 17)
18 Marlborough Road between Caton Avenue and Church Avenue
Date: Wednesday, February 5 at 8:45am

PS 245 (District 22)
249 E 17th Street between Beverley and Albemarle Roads
Arrange a tour at your convenience by calling 718-284-2330.

PS 315 (District 22)
2310 Glenwood Road between E 23rd and E 24th Streets
An open house is currently being scheduled. Call Ms. Gonzalez at 718-421-9560 x 2171 for updates.

PS 152 (District 22)
725 East 23rd Street between Campus and Glenwood Roads
The school will have an open house in the Spring, but in the meantime, parents can call 718-434-5222 to arrange a tour.

PS 193 (District 22)
2515 Avenue L between Bedford Avenue and E 26th Street
Tours are scheduled with Parent Coordinator Kathy Rosenfeld for all fridays at 9am, but be sure to call the school at 718-338-9011 the morning of to confirm.

Brooklyn School of Inquiry (District 20)
50 Avenue P at Stillwell Avenue
Open houses will be held in the Spring after G & T test results come in. Contact Parent Coordinator Maryana Sigalova at pc@bsi686.org.

Parents are invited to submit applications over the phone by calling 718-935-2400, or in person at an Enrollment Office. The application deadline is February 14.
