Two Wanted For Gunpoint Robbery On Avenue U

Police are searching for two suspects they believe robbed a 39-year-old woman at gunpoint.

The victim was walking near Avenue U and East 13th Street on February 7 at approximately 9 p.m., when the perps approached and one pulled a gun.

The thieves fled with an iPhone, MetroCard, earrings and $200, according to a Post report.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto theĀ Crime Stoppers website, or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

  1. I grew up on Avenue U. Never feared anything. Did this really happen at 9pm? The avenue is still busy usually until 10ish.

  2. This is ridiculous I grew up on this ave and grew up with the kids from ave u. This wouldn’t happen if we were still around and it’s sad to see the neighborhood go into a dump smfh

  3. keep voting in public officials who are against stop and frisk and expect more of this to happen. You cant have your cake and eat it too…

  4. alot of stores close and its very dark in some areas from the q train subwy stop to bragg st. and not alot is open anymore or is closed. so yeah i can see this happening. its scary

  5. where is the description on these two? oh I get it, because since they are not black they don’t get a description or called thugs right?
