Two-Car Collision on Ditmas and E 17th St
Two cars collided at the intersection of Ditmas Ave and East 17th Street at about 12:30pm, with both cars ending up on the lawn of the home on the corner. Witnesses at the scene were unsure of what exactly happened. Both drivers were quite shaken, and though one walked away with no apparent injuries, the other had to be taken away in an ambulance with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Neither car had any other passengers.
People on the scene were unable to turn off the ignition of the vehicle of the injured driver, and the FDNY is now on the scene with haz-mat operations.
