Tonight: Madison-Marine-Homecrest Civic Association Hosts Sanitation Officials To Discuss Snow Removal

With winter on its way, the Madison-Marine-Homecrest Civic Association will host Department of Sanitation Community Affairs Officer Iggie Terranova Thursday night to discuss the city’s snow removal strategies.

The meeting will take place at Thursday at 7:30pm in the Carmine Carro Community Center near Fillmore Avenue and Madison Place. Captain Winston Faison, commanding officer of the 61st Precint, who will also be speaking at the meeting about criminal activity and police efforts in the area.

The civic association is also wrapping up its Thanksgiving food drive, which is collecting non-perishable food items for the the food bank at Our Lady of Refuge parish. Checks made payable to “Madison-Marine Civic Association” will go to help the needy purchase turkeys.
