Tonight: 61st Precinct Community Council Meeting

The 61st Precinct Community Council will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Bainbridge Center, 3093 Ocean Avenue.

The Community Council is comprised of concerned residents and top brass from the 61st Precinct, and offers neighbors an opportunity to ask questions and express concerns about crime and safety issues in the area. The monthly meetings are attended by Deputy Inspector Georgios Mastrokostas, the commanding officer of the precinct, who will present a report on incidents and trends in the neighborhood, and speak face-to-face with neighbors about specific concerns.

Do you have a crime or safety concern you want addressed? Attend tonight’s meeting!

Comment policy

  1. Will the 61 answer questions regarding how they are now refusing to respond to 911 call involving gang member with weapons in Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach? Or how they refuse to be bothered with teenagers roaming around with bolt cutters secreted in their coats robbing chained up bicycles and breaking into homes?

  2. You should have come to the meeting tonight and brought this up. The police captain asked for questions and comments and no one took him up on his offer.

If you can back up your claims, I’m sure he would have loved to talk with you.

And since it was the last meeting for the year, it was fully catered from Jay and Lloyds.
