Tomorrow: Sheepshead Bay/Plumb Beach Civic Association Meeting

The Sheepshead Bay/Plumb Beach Civic Association will hold a meeting tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Baron De Kalb – Knights of Columbus at 3000 Emmons Avenue discussing the latest neighborhood issues such as the closing of Pathmark, Knapp Street sewage problems, law enforcement reports, elected officials reports, the installation of officers, and the Turkish private school that will replace the Golden Gate Motor Inn, on 3867 Shore Parkway.

I am sure you have been following our coverage about Pathmark and the possible supermarket candidates for replacement. This meeting is an opportunity to voice your opinion on the issue.

Comment policy

  1. Lew Fidler makes frequent appearances, while most of the other elected do send representatives (and occasionally stop by themselves). Nothing has been announced.

  2. Lew Fidler is ubiquitous. He has been known to be in several places at the same time. He won’t share his secret with us. Some sort of metaphysical thing, I believe.

  3. I have to attend the PEP hearing to thank DOE for removing PS 114 in my district from the school closing list. Yes, you read that , right….they changed their mind and I am grateful. If I can possibly get to the civic meeting, my ubiquitous presnce will be there.
    Lew from Brooklyn

  4. When did the SB/PB Civic Association work hard for us? They have to be the most useless, ineffective group (Next to the 61 cops) ever. Have they ever finished anything that they started? The Presidents, past and present, have always had big mouths, but never accomplished ANYTHING!!! Puh-leez – working hard? I think it’s more like hardly working
