This Week’s F & G Subway Changes

This Week’s F & G Subway Changes
F train crowded subway

Happy Monday! This week, the G continues to be a figment of our imagination, and there are a couple changes happening on the F – though, thankfully, none in our area. Details via the MTA:

Starting Monday:

No G train service north of Nassau Avenue
All times, until 5am Tuesday, September 2
The G is only running between Church and Nassau avenues to allow for the reconstruction of tunnels damaged during Hurricane Sandy. This means that at all times, trains will not be running to or from Greenpoint, 21st Street, and Court Square reconstruction of tunnels in Long Island City. Free shuttle buses will provide alternate service. For more information about transfers, go here.
Coney Island-bound F trains skip 23 Street and 14 Street
Late nights,11:45pm to 5am, Monday, August 18 through Friday, August 22
For service to these stations, take the F to West 4th Street and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to 34 Street-Herald Square and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F.

Starting Wednesday:

Coney Island-bound F trains make local stops at 65 Street, Northern Boulevard, 46 Street, Steinway Street, and 36 Street
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Wednesday, August 20 through Friday, August 22

Remember, unscheduled changes can occur, so be sure to check out the MTA’s website before hopping on the subway.
