This Weekend’s Sheepshead Bay Open House Picks
We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open house listings coming up in the area this weekend. Any thoughts on these places?

Size: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: This fancy-pants condo is still on the market — we first looked at it back in October, and since then, the price has come down by about $30k (as was accurately noted at the time by our favorite real estate column commenter: “the apartment is overpriced by at least 50K”). It’s a really nice looking space, fully renovated with a lot of modern touches, but maybe the location — quiet, but a hike to the subway — is leaving potential buyers cold. If you require close proximity to Roll N Roaster and can put up with a wait for the bus, though, this might be the spot for you.

List Price: $599,000, common charges not listed
Size: Three bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: Another condo tucked away near the bay, this one is two blocks farther from the subway and everything else than the Brown St spot above, so all the same possible headaches (and peace and quiet) apply here. Similarly, this one’s also been on the market a while, and the price has also come down by $30k. The building went up in 2007, so you’re looking at still-new(ish) stuff in this duplex — though the choices on the wrought-iron banisters and the faux-brick tile may not be for everyone.

List Price: $1,400,000
Size: Two family with five bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms
Details: Though there are no photos of the interior, the listing promises this two-family, detached brick house is in “mint condition,” and for that price tag, it had better be. The photos that are available show a pretty spacious backyard that would be nice for a BBQ with friends and family on a freakishly warm weekend like the one we’re about to enter — though that looks like artificial turf to us, yeesh. The listing notes you can get four cars in that driveway, too.
