This Weekend’s Open House Picks

In the market for a new place to live? Just curious what’s available, and for how much? Here are some open houses taking place in the area this weekend. What do you think?

CONDOS/CO-OPS

• There are two interesting 2-bed, 2-bath apartments with open houses this Sunday. The condo at 346 Coney Island Avenue, Apt 504 (pictured above) is across from the Parade Ground, and looks updated. It’s 1,140 square feet, has a shared roof deck and fitness center. You could use the Q train at Church, but the F at Fort Hamilton is a little closer. Listed by Corcoran for $515,000, with $497 common charges.
Open house: Sunday, July 15, 12-1:30pm

• You want a lot of space and a killer view? Try 1818 Newkirk, 6K, the other 2-bed, 2-bath. This co-op is 1,288 square feet and a has terrace. Listed by Brooklyn Hearth for $539,000, and that space comes with a heafty maintenance fee of $1024.52. However, it was originally listed back in January, and is maybe the long time on the market has inspired this extra: the sponsor is offering to cover 3 months of the maintenance.
Open house: Sunday, July 15, 12-1:30pm

• If you’re looking for value, the 1-bed, 1-bath at 2835 Bedford Avenue, 4A, is hard to beat. It’s dropped $20k in price, and is currently listed by Halstead for $175,000 with a $645.81 maintenance fee. You’re still within walking distance of Cortelyou, but you’re also close to the Junction, which means Shakespeare & Co bookstore, Target, and cakes from Lords Bakery.
Open house: Sunday, July 15, 12-1pm

HOUSES

1810 Avenue H has come down just over $59k in price since we last noted an open house in June. With 7 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half-baths, it’s huge, but needs, and I quote, “cosmetic re-alignment.” Listed by Fillmore for $899,990.
Open house: Sunday, July 15, 3-5pm

• Revisiting another house listing, 631 E 23rd Street has had another price drop since we looked at it here in June, and is now listed for $799,000–which is $60k less than it was originally listed for back in January. It’s a single-family with great bones, but the “needs TLC” note must be pretty serious if it’s been on the market so long. How much do you think it will finally sell for?
Open house: Sunday, July 15, 2:30-4:30pm
