We’ve rounded up some of the more interesting open houses happening in and around Ditmas Park this Sunday. Any thoughts on these places?

CONDOS & CO-OPS

599 E 7th Street #3R
List Price: $466,700, $1,002 maintenance
Size: Two bedrooms, two bathrooms
Details: At 1,300 sq ft, this unit is the largest in the entirety of its coop building between Cortelyou Road and Ditmas Avenue. It has windows on the east, west, and south sides for plenty of natural light, and the kitchen leads into a dining area leads into a spacious living room to give you flexibility for family time and entertaining. The building also features laundry facilities, storage, parking (with a wait list), a pool, a courtyard with BBQ, and a night doorman, but no pets are allowed. If that’s not a deal breaker, make sure to stop by.
Open House: Sunday, April 6, 2-4pm

HOUSES

622 Avenue C
List Price: $800,000
Size: Nine bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms (split over two units)
Details: This one’s a fixer-upper, but it could be worth it for a buyer interested in having rental tenants. There are two separate units already in the house, so once it’s fixed up you could both live at the address and collect income on it–plus it’s got great features like two floors’ worth of porches, stained glass windows, and a sizable outdoor space. When you consider the two bed coop above (which, granted, is in turnkey condition) is over half the price of this nine bed house, how does $800k sound?
Open House: Sunday, April 6, 12-2pm

391 Marlborough Road
List Price: $1,199,000
Size: Five bedrooms, three bathrooms (split over two units)
Details: Like the above house, this lovely home that was on the market briefly last year features a separate unit for a tenant. Some things to consider–this one doesn’t look like it needs much work (and has some gorgeous details and finishes to boot) and the location is more convenient than Avenue C to shopping and restaurants, but it doesn’t have nine bedrooms and we’re not sure how the yards compare. All that said, if you’re not interested in renovations and you don’t mind the house’s proximity to the subway tracks, this could be the one.
Open House: Sunday, April 6, 2:30-4pm

870 Ocean Avenue
List Price: $2,300,000
Size: Five bedrooms, two full and four half baths
Details: This home on a Dorchester corner lot is one serious beast–and we mean that in the nicest way possible. You can tell from the photos just how sprawling it is, from that lawn to its number of rec rooms to those Escher-esque stairs with a landing as big as our apartment, but it will also likely need at least some cosmetic work. No matter your feelings on that kitchen, fascinating (but not for everyone) jewel box room, or Holy wood bathroom, Batman, this house is undoubtedly breathtaking. History buffs can learn more about it here, then tell us–do you think it’ll sell for that price?
Open House: Sunday, April 6, 12-1pm
