This Weekend’s Open House Picks

This Weekend’s Open House Picks

Let’s check out some of the places up for sale in the area that have open houses this weekend. Thoughts?

HOUSES

• The house at 758 Westminster Road (pictured above) is apparently a legal 3-family that was last used as a 2-family. It’s been on the market for about a year or so, but hasn’t had an open house in a while. They’ve had people working on it for the past couple of months, so if you saw it before, it might be worth another visit this weekend to see what changes have been made. Shown this weekend by Kestyn Real Estate and priced at $999,000; it’s also listed by Mary Kay Gallagher.
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 1-3pm

• We’re surprised to see 164 Westminster still on the market. It’s a high price tag of $1,750,000, as listed by Prudential Douglas Elliman, but houses in such nice shape (and some in not such great shape) haven’t been sitting available very long these days. I’ll bet this is the last open house they have–who’ll take that bet?
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 12-2pm

CO-OPS/CONDOS

• Looking for a lot of space? How about this 3-bed, 2-bath at 416 Ocean Ave, #33, which all looks pretty recently renovated. Very close to the Parade Ground, Prospect Park, and the Church Ave station, but also in one of the 70th Precinct’s Impact Zones. Listed by Brown Harris Stevens for $599,000, maintenance fee $869.
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 11am-12pm

• Also in the “lots of space” category is 3-bed, 2.5-bath duplex at 10 Slocum Place, #4F, which has dropped $50k since the last time we looked at it in June. And it will have a very convenient pharmacy soon. Listed by Brooklyn Properties for $649,000, common charges for this condo are $339.44.
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 12:30-2pm

• The 1-bed, 1-bath apartment at 601 E 19th St, #3L came down in price $34k in May, and has been available at $265,000 ever since. It’s one of the dog-friendly buildings in the area. Listed by Fillmore with no maintenance fee listed, though Corcoran has a simliar apartment available in the building that has a maintenance of $569.
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 1-3pm

Another apartment is available at 400 E 17th St: #300. It’s on the lower end of pricing compared to the other, listed at $219,000 by Abacus, maintenance $678. Anyone who lives in this 81-unit building have thoughts about it, good or bad?
Open house: Sunday, August 19, 1:30-3pm
