This Weekend’s F & G Subway Changes
Here’s to hoping you don’t have to take the LIRR this weekend (though the Daily News is reporting MTA officials and union leaders being close to striking a deal). But, if you’re planning on hopping on the subway, here’s what you’ll need to know. Details via the MTA:
Starting Friday:
Coney Island-bound F trains skip Sutphin Boulevard, Van Wyck Boulevard, and 75th Avenue
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, July 18-21
For service to Sutphin Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from this station, take the F to Parsons Boulevard and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For service to the Van Wyck Boulevard, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to a Jamaica Center-bound E or Jamaica-bound F. For service to 75th Avenue, take the F to Union Turnpike and transfer to the E. For service from these stations, take the E instead. Transfer to the F at Union Turnpike or 71st Avenue.
Coney Island-bound F trains run via the M from Roosevelt Avenue to 47-50 Streets
Weekend, 11:15pm Friday to 5am Monday, July 18-21
Trains run express from Roosevelt Avenue to Queens Plaza. No Coney Island bound F service at 21 Street-Queensbridge, Roosevelt Island, Lexington Avenue/63 Street, and 57 Street.
Coney Island-bound F trains run via the A from West 4 Street to Jay Street-MetroTech
Weekend, 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday, July 18-21
No Coney Island-bound F service at Broadway-Lafayette, Second Avenue, Delancey Street, East Broadway, and York Street. For service to Broadway-Lafayette, transfer to the D at West 4 Street. For service to Second Avenue, Delancey Street, and East Broadway, take the F to Jay Street-MetroTech and transfer to a Jamaica-bound F. For service from these stations, take the F to West 4 Street and transfer to a Coney Island-bound F. For York Street, use the nearby High Street A and C station instead.
Manhattan-bound F trains make local stops at 65 Street, Northern Boulevard, 46 Street, Steinway, and 36 Street
Late nights, 12:01am to 5am, Wednesday to Friday, July 16-18.
Jamaica-bound F trains make local stops at 36 Street, Steinway, 46 Street, Northern Boulevard, and 65 Street
Late nights, 12:30am to 5am, Wednesday to Friday, July 16-18.
As of now, there are no scheduled changes for the G. Remember, there can always be unscheduled changes for all the subways, so be sure to check the MTA before heading out.
