• Parents started gearing up for a meeting about the future of our neighborhood schools.

• A new farmers market at the Q at Parkside opened, as did the Flatbush youthmarket.

• Neighbor Lola Star revived her Dreamland Roller Rink in Prospect Park.

• An accident involving a car and a bicycle on Ocean Parkway got us talking about the need for safer streets.

• The Flatbush Nostrand-Junction BID is holding its first ever Weekend Walks Streetfest today, July 13.
