Got an old PC, phone, or bunch of unidentified wires in your junk drawer? Then stop by the Lower East Side Ecology Center’s e-waste recycling event this Saturday, May 10 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus (245 Prospect Park West between Prospect Avenue and Windsor Place) from 10am-4pm and get your house all cleared out for spring.

Acceptable items include: computers (laptops & desktops, servers, mainframes), monitors, printers, scanners, fax-machines, copiers, network devices (routers, hubs, modems, etc), peripherals (keyboards, mice, cables, cords, chargers, etc), tablets and e-readers, components (hard drives, CD-ROMs, circuit boards, power supplies, etc), TVs, VCRs, DVRs, and DVD players, Digital Converter Boxes, Cable/Satellite Receivers, portable music players, audiovisual equipment, video games, cell phones, pagers, PDAs, and other telecommunication devices (phones, answering machines, etc).

Unfortunately, home appliances including microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, and ionization smoke or carbon monoxide detectors will not be accepted. You can learn how to properly dispose of those devices, and answers to FAQs, here–and for more information, call 212-477-4022.
