Today we honor our the birthdays of our forefathers, as well as their contributions to this country. We hope you enjoy some relaxation, recreation, and/or family time today, and be sure to keep in mind these holiday changes around our area:

Government Offices, Parking, and Sanitation (via nyc.gov)

Presidents’ Day is a local, state, and federal holiday and City, State, and Federal government offices are closed. Schools are closed.

Sanitation, Mail, and Parking

Post offices are closed, and there is no regular mail delivery.

There will be no refuse pickup.

Alternate side parking is suspended, though meters are still in effect.

Subways and Buses

The MTA says trains and buses will operate on a Saturday schedule (so the B will not be in service). Check out all changes here.

Libraries

All branches of the Brooklyn Public Library are closed on Monday.
