Celebrate Brooklyn launched its 2014 lineup at the Prospect Park Bandshell on Wednesday with a concert by Janelle Monae, and the line to get into the show was a long one. Neighbor Tom Prendergast, who sent us these photos, says it went from the entrance at 9th Street and Prospect Park West down and around the corner close to 10th Avenue.

The Times reports there was “an enormous overflow audience,” but luckily for them, you can still enjoy the music in the park even if you might not be able to see the stage. But perhaps not so luckily for neighbors, you can hear it pretty far from the stage.

“Just the start over another season of extremely loud sound rattling through the homes and apartments along PPW and PPSW,” says Tom.

Neighbors in the area, including Tom, have voiced complaints in the past, when the Prospect Park Alliance said they were working on the issue. If you live around there, how’s it been during these summer shows?
