Get ready for another beautiful day, locals! It’s supposed to be a clear sunny day with low humidity, according to the National Weather Service. Don’t forget to take a few pictures while you’re out enjoying the sunshine and share them in The Nabe’s Flickr group.

  • The Brooklyn Tech Triangle – a partnership between the DUMBO Improvement District, the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership –  released a strategic plan to boost the prominence of downtown Brooklyn’s tech industry, Gothamist reported. The plans include workforce and real estate development, and transportation expansions, aimed at attracting more tech and start-up companies to the corner of the borough.   • The Brooklyn Academy of Music unveiled its 35-foot-by-19-foot screen in the historic BAM Harvey Theater yesterday, Brooklyn Based reported.  Check out BAM’s summer movie listings if you want to catch a movie on Brooklyn’s biggest screen. The fifth annual BAM Cinemafest, a festival for American independent movies, also starts tonight, kicking off with the New York premiere of “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints,” starring Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck.
  • If you still haven’t made any plans for Saturday, there will be a free Live Well event, featuring rides, music and entertainment, at the Ingersoll Community Center starting at 10 a.m., Myrtle Minutes reported.
