The suspected shooter of L&B Spumoni Garden’s late Louis Barbati has been arrested, and is currently being arraigned in court, according to a family friend of the Barbati’s.

Neither the NYPD nor the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office would confirm or deny the arrest or arraignment.

We’ll keep you updated.

Barbati, a Dyker Heights resident and co-owner of the iconic pizzeria L&B Spumoni Gardens was fatally shot in the vicinity of his home Thursday evening, June 30.
Officers responded to a call of a man shot at 7601 12th Avenue at approximately 7:02pm, and found 61-year-old Louis Barbati in the backyard with bullet wounds to his torso, according to police.

UPDATE: A neighbor of the Barbati’s attests police were able to find the suspect — Andres Fernandez, according to the Daily News — by tracking his car and cellphone. The suspect is known as the “Avenue Y drug dealer”, a family friend told us.

Indeed, another source who attended the arraignment says the suspect requested drug treatment.
