This weekend marks the first for the summer of the Park Slope Fifth Avenue BID’s Summer Strolls, where portions of 5th Avenue are closed to traffic for a few hours in the evening so neighbors can enjoy the weather, dance, eat, and explore the street in a way we don’t normally get to.

Here are the dates for the Summer Strolls on 5th Avenue, which take place from 5-9pm:

Saturday, July 18: 5th Avenue from 12th-18th Streets

Saturday, July 25: 5th Avenue from 12th-18th Streets

Saturday, August 15: 5th Avenue from Dean-Sterling Street

Saturday, August 22: 5th Avenue from Dean-Sterling Street

The Doggy Fashion Show at Freddy’s Bar is happening at this Saturday’s Summer Stroll, as well as street chess, face painting, a giant rock climbing wall, a bouncy house and activities by Puppetry Arts, dancing in the street, live music, a photo booth, juggling, mini golf, vintage cars and more.Next week, South Brooklyn Shakespeare will perform Much Ado About Nothing near 18th Street and again on August 15 near Dean Street.
