Update: Subway Service Has Resumed
stalled subway train at cortelyou

Update:

Earlier: A  train with mechanical problems at Prospect Park is holding neighbors up this afternoon. Neighbor Lina Corvus initially informed us of the problem, and now says northbound trains have been emptied.

An MTA agent at the Cortelyou station is now asking commuters to stop flooding the platform as she does not know when trains will be back up and running properly. “Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow,” she says.

Until then, if you’re planning to head out, be aware of these changes via MTA.info:

Southbound B trains are running on the Q line from Brighton Beach to Coney Island-Stillwell Av, then operate on the D line to DeKalb Av.
Northbound Q trains are running on the N line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av.
Some Southbound Q trains are terminating at City Hall.
Allow additional travel time.
