Golden Gloves 90th Anniversary Boxing Finals (Sponsored)
When: Saturday, April 22 from 2pm–5pm
Where: Aviator Sports & Events Center, 3159 Flatbush Ave
What: The Daily News Golden Gloves 90th Anniversary Boxing Finals will be a knockout fight at Aviator Sports and Events Center, as the tournament celebrates its 90th anniversary of bringing the sport’s future stars into the spotlight.
How much: $35 general admission.

Congress of Curious Peoples in Coney Island
When: Friday, April 21 at 7pm
Where: Coney Island USA, 1208 Surf Ave., Coney Island
What: Get your freak on tonight at Coney Island’s sideshow hall of fame featuring Show Folk, Clyde Ingalls VS Slim Kelly & Whitey Sutton, Born Different, The Doll Family vs Martin Laurello, and more, along with a presentation on the sideshow’s history.
How much: $10 per ticket

Annual Spring Flea Market @ East 4th St Garden
When: Saturday, April 22 9am–2pm; Sunday, April 23 10am–2pm
Where: East 4th Street between Caton Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway
What: Find household goods, books, toys, and clothing. And if you’ve skipped breakfast or lunch, you’ll be happy to see an assortment of baked goods. (Mmm, muffins!) The garden is also offering flats of flower, herb and veggie seedlings for your spring planting. All proceeds go to fund the garden and a roster of free cultural events.

SolarWorks’ rooftop party in Gowanus
When: Saturday, April 22 2pm–4pm
Where: 200 6th Street
What: Celebrate Earth Day than with a private tour of a solar panel company workshop, followed by a visit to their private roof deck with sweeping views of NYC. Food and drinks available.

Transform your block: Ditmas Earth Day celebration
When: Saturday, April 22 from 1pm–4pm
Where: Albemarle Road at East 17th Street, dead end.
What: Funded by a “Love Your Block” grant, friends and neighbors will transform the dead end on Albemarle Road at East 17th Street into a colorful garden and art gallery made entirely of upcycled materials. More than simply a one-off beautification project, the Earth Day Celebration is part of an on-going effort to make the corner a safe, attractive, and inclusive place for neighbors and families to mingle.

Earth Day Hike (Light)
When: Sunday, April 23, 12pm to 1:30pm
Where: Marine Park, Avenue U and East 33rd Street, Marine Park
What: Urban Park Rangers will lead a guided, light hike—a leisurely stroll on primarily paved paths. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes or boots, and pack water and a light snack.

Prospect Park Audubon Center Earth Day Celebration
When: Saturday, April 22, 12pm to 4pm
Where: Prospect Park, Audubon Center (located near the Lincoln Road entrance), Park Slope
What: This event will feature fishing lessons (catch & release), birding lessons, and a lakeside cleanup led by the Brooklyn Fishing Club and Audubon staff. RSVP here.

Street Tree Identification For Beginners | Carroll Gardens Tree Walk
When: Saturday, April 22, 10:30am to 12pm
Where: Exact meeting instructions will be sent the day before the walk, Carroll Gardens
What: Brooklyn Brainery is hosting a walk through picturesque Carroll Gardens to teach participants how to identify a variety of trees by their bark, buds, leaves, and overall shape.
