Don’t wait until this weekend for a little neighborhood fun! Here’s a few of the events that are happening in our area through Wednesday:

Group Run In Prospect Park
When: Monday, March 10, 7pm
Where: Lefferts House
What: The days are longer and the temps are warming up, so why not join Shape Up NYC’s Couch to 5k program in Prospect Park? The group class meets every Monday evening at 7pm on the porch of Lefferts Historic House, and combines walking,running, and conditioning exercises to help you shape up for long distance running. No RSVP or registration is required.
How much: Free

A Night At The Opera
When: Monday, March 10, 9pm
Where: Bar Toto, 411 11th Street at 6th Avenue
What: Raise a glass to the end of Monday with wine and a movie at Bar Toto. This week, bust a gut as Groucho, Harpo, and Chico wreak havoc in A Night at the Opera.
How much: Free

Zeke Healy & Karen Waltuch
When: Tuesday, March 11, 7pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street and 6th Avenue
What: Get lost in the mesmerizing sounds of Zeke Healy (slide guitar) and Karen Waltuch (viola), who Barbes says creates “a refined exuberance reminiscent of tabletop fireworks, extracting from and recalibrating your new favorite songs.”
How much: $10 (strongly) suggested donation

Disco Time With Yoni
When: Wednesday, March 12, 10:30am
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue, between 8th and 9th Streets
What: Ready to party? Yoni the Puppet is bringing an interactive Hebrew story time and sing-a-long to the Park Slope Library. Expect lots of dancing, smiles and laughter from your little Park Sloper! Recommended for kids ages 0-5.
How much: Free.

Comedy Open Mic Night
When: Wednesday, March 12, 6pm
Where: The Fifth Estate, 506 5th Avenue, between 12th and 13th Streets
What: You know these 50 degree temperatures we’re enjoying at the start of the week? Thursday it’s supposed to plummet into the 20s with a chance of snow. The Fifth Estate is at the ready, though, with a warm bar, open mic comedy, and lots of laughs to help thaw all of our frozen tears.
How much: No cover.
