Don’t wait until the weekend for a little neighborhood fun! Here’s a few of the events that are taking place in our area through Wednesday:

Chicha Libre
When: Monday, January 20, 9:30pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street at 6th Avenue
What: Looking for something a little different? Chicha Libre plays a mixture of latin rhythms, surf music and psychedelic pop inspired by 1970s Peruvian music from the Amazon.
How much: $10 (strongly) suggested donation

Bullshit History
When: Tuesday, January 21, 9:30pm
Where: Freddy’s Backroom, 627 5th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Competitive BS at its best at Freddy’s Tuesday, as contestants try to wiggle their way through little-known historical events in front of a live backroom audience.
How much: No cover.

Comedy and Speed Dating
When: Wednesday, January 22, Doors Open at 7:30pm/Event begins at 8pm
Where: Supercollider, 609 4th Avenue, between 17th and 18th Streets
What: Stand-up comedy…speed dating…20+ beers on tap…what’s not to love?
How much: No cover.
