Don’t wait until the weekend for a little neighborhood fun! Here’s a few of the events that are taking place in our area through Wednesday:

Brain Cloud
When: Monday, February 3, 7pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street near 6th Avenue
What: Don’t let the snow get you down. Make your way to Barbes tonight and let Brain cloud serenade you with their Bob Wills inspired “New Orleans-meets-Texas, strings-meet-horns, jazz-meets-country sound.” It’s great stuff.
How much: $10 (strongly) suggested donation.

Freddy’s 3 Year Anniversary
When: Tuesday, February 4, All Night
Where: Freddy’s, 627 5th Avenue, Between 17th and 18th Street
What: Our friends at Freddy’s are celebrating three years in South Slope this week with a night full of some of the borough’s best musicians. For the full lineup, be sure to check out the Freddy’s website.
How much: Free!

Knitting and Crocheting Class
When: Wednesday, February 5, 4pm to 5pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue at 6th Avenue
What: If you’ve ever had the urge to leave yarn bombs around Brooklyn, join neighbors for a free knitting and crochet class at Park Slope Library Wednesday.
How much: Free!
