South Slope Rental Roundup

259 21st Street

In the market for a new rental? You’re in luck, because we’ve put together some of our favorite listings from the neighborhood for the week. Check ‘em out and let us know what you think:

334 19th Street
Let’s start with this 1-bed, 1-bath from Century 21 Block and Lot. Newly renovated, and situated on the top floor, this apartment is super bright, has an eat-in kitchen, office space, and hardwoods throughout. Asking a very reasonable $1,600 per month, plus electricity. The landlord pays all other utilities.

23rd Street and 6th Ave
Remember that single family home on 23rd Street we told you about back in January? We’ll they’ve significantly dropped the price of this 1500-square-foot, 2-story, 3-bed, 1.5-bath in the last several weeks. The place definitely needs some love, and we’re not sure if it’s still on the market because it’s scary inside, or if people are just freakout out at the prospect of living directly across the street from Green-Wood, but at $2,300 a month, we’d risk a run-in with Casper to go and check it out.

259 21st Street
At the top of our budget, is this 1000-square-foot, 1-bed, 1-bath in the St. John’s Condominium. Includes eat-in kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, private terrace, oversized windows, and a shared rooftop deck with AMAZING views of the city. The building is pet-friends, has a live-in super, and an elevator. Listed by Brooklyn Heights Real Estate. Asking $2,600. A private, gated parking space is available for an addition $150 per month. Available May 1.
