Free Carousel Rides
When: Thursday, August 15, 12pm to 6pm
Where: Prospect Park
What: It’s a beautiful day! Head over to the Prospect Park Carousel where kids 12 and under ride for free every Thursday in August.
How much: Free for kids 12 and under, $2 for adults

Dive In Gowanus
When: Friday, August 16
Where: Multiple locations
What: Headed out for a night on the town Friday? Support The Gowanus Canal Conservancy and restaurants located in the Gowanus Watershed area with this fantastic food and drink fueled fundraiser. Participating restaurants include: Applewood, Crop to Cup Coffee, Dinosaur BBQ, Fletcher’s BBQ, Fort Reno, Littleneck, Lot 2, Nightingale 9, The Pines, Rose Water, Runner and Stone, Seersucker, Southside Coffee, and Terroir Park Slope!
How much: No cover, just the cost of food and drink.

The Pre-War Ponies
When: Saturday, August 17, 8pm
Where: Barbes, 376 9th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenue
What: Travel back to the 20s and 30s to discover some forgotten gems of the era.
How much: Free!

The Morley Walk
When: Sunday, August 18, noon to 4pm
Where: Multiple locations across Brooklyn
What: Celebrate the legacy of Christopher Morley with a walking tour and marathon reading of his book, The Haunted Bookshop, at some of the area’s best local bookstores. Stops along the walk include:
