Add sidewalk closures to the list of ways we’re being impacted by construction and new development along Myrtle Avenue.

The sidewalk between 490 and 504 Myrtle Avenue will be closed **for the next FOUR months** due to construction at 504 Myrtle, reported the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership (MARP) on their blog. The walkway is in the middle of the south side of the block and sits opposite Ryerson Street.

This means that anyone — seniors and students alike — coming to Myrtle Avenue from the Willoughby Walk Co-ops and Pratt Institute will have to come around via Hall Street or Grand Avenue.

Hopefully the detour won’t last longer than estimated — and hopefully spring and warmer weather will come sooner rather than later.
