This coming weekend, the Flatbush Food Coop (1415 Cortelyou Road between Rugby and Marlborough Roads) will be hosting its fourth annual Flatbush Green Weekend — which translates to two days chock full of free eco-friendly events that are open to everyone. Here’s what’s on the schedule for the event, which the coop is presenting in conjunction with the Flatbush Development Corporation, CAMBA and The Lower East Side Ecology Center:

Electronic Waste Recycling
Saturday, April 29, 10am-4pm
Drop off your unwanted or broken electronics for environmentally safe disposal. Items that will be accepted include working and non-working computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, TVs, VCRs, DVD players, phones, audio/visual equipment, cell phones and PDAs. Shredzilla Document Shredding
Saturday, April 29, 10am-2pm
The Shredzilla document shredding truck will be on hand to provide secure recycling of confidential papers. There is a suggested donation of $8 per 13-gallon bag of documents to be shredded.

CAMBA Food Drive
Friday, April 28, 11:30am-2:30pm
Representatives of our neighborhood’s local nonprofit CAMBA will collect items to support their emergency food pantry, which helps more than 3,400 Brooklyn residents every month.
