If you’ve ever had a foot or leg injury but are feeling better now, you should know there will be a Crutches 4 Kids outpost set up at Community Physical Therapy (1818 Newkirk Avenue between E 18th and E 19th Streets) from Monday, May 12 to Sunday, May 18. If you need to take a car over, Uber is offering discounts to donors. Thanks to neighbor Naomi for the tip! The Midwood Merchants Association is hosting their annual sidewalk sale next Thursday, May 15. From 11am-5pm, shoppers can check out good from participating stores on Avenues J, M, and Coney Island Avenue, and everyone will receive a free tote bag. There’s a yearly clothing swap and drive coming to the PS 139 cafeteria (330 Rugby Road between Beverley and Cortelyou Roads) from 9am-2pm on Sunday, May 18. Attendees can drop off clothing, accessories, and household linens, pick some up, or make a trade. Anything not taken by neighbors will be donated. - The Ditmas Park West neighborhood yard sale will take place on Sunday, June 1 from 11am-4pm. Look out for neighbors’ cool unwanted stuff from Coney Island Avenue to the subway tracks and Cortelyou Road to Newkirk Avenue.
- Ditmas Park residents will also be holding a yard sale on Sunday, June 8 starting at 9am. Look out for goodies from E 16th Street to Ocean Avenue and Dorchester Road to Newkirk Avenue.
