Sheepshead Bay Woman Tragically Takes Her Own Life
A Sheepshead Bay woman who her neighbors said suffered from depression ended her own life by jumping from the top of her apartment building, landing on top of the parking garage below, according to police.
The tragic suicide took place at a seven-story apartment building on Nostrand Avenue near Avenue T at about 11:45pm on Friday night, police said. The victim, 41, could only be identified by the pill bottle label that laid next to her body.
Neighbors told investigators that the woman had suffered serious bouts of depression, according to authorities. Due to the sensitivity of the incident, we are not going to release the name of the victim.
