Several Storefronts Vandalized On Church Avenue
Ashley from The Dogwood tipped us off this morning that several roll-down gates along Church Avenue had been spray painted last night, including The Dogwood’s own, and the majority of other gates between Stratford and E 10th Streets.
It looks like the damage may stop east of 1109 Church (next to Nine Chains, between Stratford and Westminster) and west of Shayna’s Restaurant (907 Church Avenue on the corner of E 10th), which was, unfortunately, tagged as well. There are two very different tags involved in the vandalism.
The 70th Precinct‘s CO, Inspector Eric Rodriguez, encouraged neighbors a few weeks back to document and report any graffiti they see by calling 718-851-5511. Ashley says she’s reaching out to police about the issue, but if you noticed anything strange last night or have seen these tags elsewhere, please let the precinct know.
