Serial Thief Strikes Nail Salons Along Church Ave in East Flatbush

EAST FLATBUSH – A woman operating in East Flatbush struck a number of nail salons in a pattern of thefts targeting employees, according to the NYPD.

The first incident took place at Ms. Q Nail Spa, at 815 Rogers Ave, on Tuesday, September 19, around 6:45 pm, when the suspect stole $600 and a bank card from an employee’s handbag, police said.

The second incident, a month later, targeted a salon just down the block. The same suspect entered Church Street Spa Nails, at 3117 Church Ave, around noon on Saturday, October 28, where she stole an employee’s handbag, which contained keys, a credit card and $500 cash, police said.

A surveillance video obtained by the NYPD shows the suspect at the first location, on Rogers Ave, and can be seen below:

Police describe the suspect as a black woman, approximately 35-years-old, standing 5’6″ to 5’9″ and weighing about 175 pounds. She has a medium build, dark complexion and long, black hair.
