School Bus Service Resumes

Children taking the bus to Brooklyn New School or The Children’s School can again line up in front of Immaculate Heart of Mary.Yellow school bus service resumes on Wednesday, February 20.

Local 1181 and Mayor Bloomberg haven’t reached an agreement on the Employment Protection Provisions for which the strike was about. According to the New York Times, the union vows to fight for EPP while providing safe bus service for school children.

The DOE Website confirms bus service will resume:

The strike by the bus drivers’ union is over. School bus service will resume on Wednesday, February 20.
Students who were assigned to a new route during the strike will remain on that route until they hear from the Office of Pupil Transportation.
Parents should return MetroCards they received to their child’s school.
