San Remo Offering New Weekday Slice & Pie Specials
While San Remo (1408 Cortelyou Road between Argyle and Rugby Roads) won our neighborhood pizza taste test a while back, they also won the title of most expensive in the bunch–but it looks like they’re trying to fulfill the needs of more customers with their new weekday specials.
They’re now offering a $1 slice from 2:30-4pm Mondays-Fridays (it’s called the “school special,” but we were assured it was for everyone, not just students), and a $10 regular pie for pickup on Mondays (same price as Jr. Bella’s, which we also sampled for the test). They also got a new awning–guess they’re trying to shake things up!
There was an interesting mix of comments on the pizza test post, both from San Remo devotees and those who just couldn’t stand it. If you were reluctant to order from San Remo before, does this low cost option make you more open to trying again?
