Always wanted to try your hand at rowing in the Prospect Park Lake? The Prospect Park Alliance and the Village Community Boathouse have teamed up to make rowing accessible to all. From 12-4pm on the following Saturdays, rowing in the park is completely free:

  • July 18 and 25
  • August 1, 8, 15, and 22

Rowing is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. It can get crowded, which means it’s best to show up early.

If you’d like to lend a hand to the all-volunteer nonprofit Village Community Boathouse, there’s plenty they need help with, including setting up and breaking down, running the sign-in table, loading and unloading boats, and patrolling the lake.  To volunteer, email info@villagecommunityboathouse.org or visit the group’s website.

Happy rowing, everyone!
