If you’re looking for a place to celebrate Valentine’s Day with dinner, a few Ditmas Park restaurants will have special menus next Thursday, February 14 — and they’re now taking reservations, even though some don’t normally accept them for a small number of diners. Call soon to snag a table!

The Castello Plan

Three course prix fixe dinner with a champagne toast, $55 per person. Reservations are available from 4pm until “late.”

Parties of any size can reserve for the prix fixe. The restaurant will be open for regular dinner service, as well, but reservations are only available for those doing the prix fixe menu.

Ox Cart (1301 Newkirk Ave, 718-284-0005) has a special menu as well, but they’re not taking reservations.

Beyond Ditmas Park

Looking to share a romantic moment without the strong possibility of bumping into your neighbors? Check out the options for Valentine’s Day dining on the other side of the park:

Park Slope has a ton of cozy restaurants offering specials on Thursday, like a $40 Latin feast at Bogota and a $55 Israeli seasonal menu at Miriam, and most are easy to get to via the Q train’s 7th Ave stop.

• You can also find some great places over in South Slope. If you like The Farm, try Lot 2, and if you want to branch out from Cinco de Mayo, make a beeline for Fonda. Getting there might require a transfer from the Q, a walk to the F, or you can hop on the B68 bus on Coney Island Avenue and walk from Bartel-Pritchard Square.
