Renovations At 1622 Cortelyou Road
We noticed while passing by this morning that some serious demolition work is being done to the interior of the deli at 1622 Cortelyou Road (between E 16th and E 17th Streets).
The space (which a worker on site said will remain the same business) is completely stripped down at this point, revealing some really cool herringbone parquet walls. We were discouraged from taking photos of the details, but if you get a chance to pass by today, you should try and see the bones of the shop yourself!
We’ll be curious to see Kathmandu’s new look when they reopen.
