Enjoy a range of Italian dishes in their backyard or take home fresh pasta. Or do both at LaRina Pastificio & Vino (387 Myrtle Avenue between Vanderbilt and Clermont Avenues), a new “mini-pasta” factory which will have its official opening tomorrow, Wednesday, August 10.

Co-owner Guilia Pelliccioni is behind the Aita in Clinton Hill (132 Greene Street) as well as Aita Trattoria in Crown Heights (798 Franklin Avenue). She’ll be teaming up with Chef Silvia Barban, also of Aita.

According to Pelliccioni, the dishes will be both modern and affordable. “It’s not a very traditional Italian menu,” she told Fort Greene Focus. Barban is originally from southern Italy and moved north, and Pelliccioni hails from central Italy. “We’re not focusing on a particular region,” she says. “We each have an influence on the menu.”

The menu and vibe will differ from the other two restaurants. “I think LaRina will be the most inventive of the three. The wine list will definitely be the largest,” says Pelliccioni. “We will have a more playful menu — lots of pastas, and small plates to be shared.”

And of course, you can pick up buckwheat conchiglie or gnocchi to go.

The restaurant also boasts a backyard area for al fresco dining with your pasta. “It will be relaxing to have dinner out there,” Pelliccioni. “We want the vibe here to be very friendly.”
