Quilter’s Guild of Brooklyn 2012 Quilt Show This Weekend

The Quilters’ Guild of Brooklyn 2012 quilt show is this Saturday and Sunday, April 21-22, at the Block Institute in Gravesend. Several neighbors will have quilts on display, including Merrie Handfinger, pictured above, who was collecting quilts yesterday at her home, which you may also know as Handfinger’s Hide-away B&B. Other local quilters include Madi Appell, Ruby Horansky, Joe Horansky, and yours truly–I’ll be exhibiting a small quilt you may recognize as the building above Cinco de Mayo.

This is a pretty big show that happens every other year, and besides the quilt exhibit, there are vendors, demonstrations, a silent auction, and a raffle for a beautiful quilt made by guild members. For more information, visit the guild’s website.
