What a beautiful day to start off PS 217’s free Thursday Evening Concert Series! Bring the whole family to the school’s garden on the corner of Newkirk and Westminster with a blanket and a picnic, and enjoy a variety of performances every week through June 14. All concerts are from 6-7pm.

May 17: Tom Swafford, toe-tapping country fiddling

May 24: Spring Concert, P.S. 217 Chorus and Musical Ensembles will perform in the auditorium

May 31: Three Musical Kings from Two Seventeen: Dr. Andre, Mr Leal, and Mr. Mister!

June 7: Classics on the keyboard and violin, featuring young local talent

June 14: Fatima Sfiligoi and Charles Mister: Favorites from the Spanish children’s songbook
