“Production Snag” Lands The Black Box On Local Blocks Through April 30

black box filming sign

Just when we thought the added stress of a Stouffer’s commercial shooting around The Black Box‘s schedule was enough, it looks like we ain’t seen nothin’ yet — newly-replaced signs we spotted this morning on Argyle and Beverley say the ABC drama will be filming in the neighborhood straight through Wednesday, April 30.

Locations department representative Avril Sciocco tells us a “snag in production” means the show is now making up for lost time ahead of its scheduled premiere (though she declined to specify the nature of said snag), and that the crew regrets any inconvenience it may cause neighbors.

Blocks affected by the extended shoot are as follows:

  • Both sides of Rugby Road between Beverley and Cortelyou Roads
  • Both sides of Beverley Road between Argyle and Marlborough Roads
  • The east side of Argyle Road, all the way from Beverley to Dorchester Roads

We’re hoping the production will be making a nice contribution to our local neighborhood associations (and we think we’re owed some hang time with Vanessa Redgrave for our troubles).

As for Ditmas Park drivers, good luck with parking — cars need to be moved by 10pm on Wednesday, April 2 — and if you find your vehicle has been moved, call the NY Tow Pound at 212-971-0778 or via 311.
