Pre-Kindergarten Admissions Begin Monday

Attention parents and guardians: Pre-Kindergarten admissions are coming up! Here are some important dates for the Pre-K admissions process:

March 7: Applications and directories available at elementary schools with Pre-K programs, online and at borough enrollment offices
April 8: Deadline to submit application
Early June: Offer letters sent to families
June 8 – June 17: Pre-registration at schools

Parents looking to keep their little rugrats in these free public programs are advised to check out one of the information sessions from March 7 to March 9. Each borough will have one session each, with Brooklyn’s taking place on Tuesday, March 8 at Sunset Park High School (153 35th Street). The times and locations of other sessions can be found here.

Bring any questions to the information sessions in March, because staff members from the Offices of Early Childhood Education and Student Enrollment will be there to answer them. English translators will also be in attendance.
