Police Searching For Gravesend Burglary Suspect

GRAVESEND – The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the man seen in the below surveillance photo in connection to a burglary that occurred in Gravesend last month.

At approximately 9pm on Saturday, August 26, the suspect entered a residential building located on Avenue Y between E 3rd Street and Ocean Parkway. He entered an apartment through a window and took an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry before fleeing the scene on foot, according to police.

No one was home at the time of the incident, police say.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, approximately 5′ 0″ tall and 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hoody sweater, a light colored hat, gray pants, and white sneakers.
