Police are looking for a man they say attacked a person on the F train one afternoon earlier this month.

On Monday, July 7 at just after 4pm, police say the suspect, caught on camera in a photo shown here, walked up to a 44-year-old deaf and mute man on a southbound F train and struck in several times in the face. The victim got off the train at the 18th Avenue stop, and the suspect remained on the train.

Police say the victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center where he was treated for lacerations to his bottom lip.

The suspect is described as between 50 and 60 year old, about six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and black sneakers.
