Police Issue Silver Alert For 86-Year-Old Flatbush Man

Help cops track down a local man who went missing in Flatbush on Sunday.

Police issued a Silver Alert for Verones Blemur, 86, who was last seen on October 16 around 4pm in front of his home, 2513 Newkirk Avenue between East 25th and East 26th Streets.

Blemur is described as a black man, 86-years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing tan pants, a gray t-shirt, brown sandals, a baseball hat and a Safe Return bracelet. Safe return bracelets are often issued to people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
