Looking for something fun (and free!) to do with the kids this week? Enjoy a Big Brooklyn Playdate, see a movie and make crafts, turn wool into yarn, and some other great events are coming up in the neighborhood. Details on those and more:

The Big Brooklyn Playdate
When: Wednesday, April 30, 10:30am-12pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Babies and toddlers from birth to 3 years and their caregivers will enjoy fun games and activities that delight young children and encourage early literacy. Come to play and leave ready to turn ordinary objects in your home into your child’s favorite toys.
How much: Free!

Story Craft
When: Thursday, May 1, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Kids up to age 5 are welcome to hear a story, then make a craft.
How much: Free!

Family Movie: The Incredibles
When: Friday, May 2, 3:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: Head to the library to see a screening of the family-friendly Pixar film, and enjoy a craft.
How much: Free!

Prospect Park Craft Fair
When: Saturday, May 3, 10am-5pm
Where: Bartel Pritchard Lot, 15th St and PPW, Prospect Park
What: Find a cool Mother’s Day gift from local artists and crafts people, socialize, and support Windsor Terrace elementary school PS 154 — part of the proceeds raised from the event are donated to help support the arts and enrichment programs at the school.
How much: Free!

Miss Nina And The Jumping Jacks
When: Saturday, May 3, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: The band hosts a sing-along, move-along and read-along that gives children and their families the space and opportunity to enjoy music and movement together, and fostering a love of books and reading in children through music.
How much: Free!

History In Your Hands: Fleece Fun
When: Sunday, May 4, 2-4pm (runs every Saturday & Sunday in May)
Where: Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park
What: See how wool was used on a colonial farm! Brush the wool with carding paddles, spin yarn using a drop spindle, and even make a felt ball to take home with you.
How much: $3 suggested donation
