Looking for some fun events to enjoy with the kids this week? A circus sideshow, a way to get your babies moving, some St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, and more good stuff is coming up in the neighborhood:

A Moving Child Is A Learning Child
When: Wednesday, March 12, 10:30am
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: This interactive workshop for kids 12 months and younger and their parents or caregivers will be led by Gill Connell, author of A Moving Child Is a Learning Child, who will discuss how you can create a well-balanced daily diet of movement and play for your child.
How much: Free, but space is limited. Pick up a ticket at the Children’s Reference Desk on the morning of the program.

Story Play
When: Wednesday, March 12, 1:30pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: At this weekly program, bring children from birth to 3 years to enjoy stories and some playtime.
How much: Free, but tickets are required, so arrive early.

Drum Along With Ivan
When: Thursday, March 13, 10am
Where: Two Moon Art House & Cafe, 315 4th Avenue
What: For the little budding rockstars at home! Bring the kids to get into the groove with Ivan.
How much: $7 per family

Explore & Create: Arts And Crafts For Kids
When: Friday, March 14, 4pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: A weekly, free drop-in program where kids can roll up their sleeves and explore their artistic side. This week’s theme is St. Patrick’s Day!
How much: Free!

Captain Jam And FunikiJam: Celebration Of Ireland!
When: Saturday, March 15, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: A fun, musical show that will encourage children’s participation with musical exploration through rhythm, dance, singing, instrument play, and stories.
How much: Free!

Box!: Castles, Kitchens, And Other Cardboard Creations For Kids
When: Saturday, March 15, 2pm
Where: Barnes & Noble, 267 7th Avenue
What: Ahh, the wonderful fascination with the cardboard box over what’s inside it. That’s the focus of this fun book by Noel MacNeal, who will be on hand to guide kids and parents through fun crafts that can be done with all kinds of cardboard, from boxes to paper towel rolls and beyond.
How much: Free!

Bindlestiff Family Cirkus Cabaret
When: Saturday, March 15 & Sunday, March 16 at 3pm
Where: Brooklyn Lyceum, 227 4th Avenue
What: The wacky and wild show featuring the best in circus, sideshow, vaudeville, burlesque, and variety is doing two-part run — shows in the evening are for adults only, and these two matinees, which are appropriate for all ages.
How much:

$12 in advance, $15 at the door

Ready, Set, Kindergarten!
When: Sunday, March 16, 2:30pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Families with kids ages 3-5 will enjoy stories and activities designed to encourage the development of early learning skills, helping you and your child get ready for school. Families will receive free materials to continue the learning and fun at home.
How much: Free!
