Looking for some fun events to enjoy with the kids this week? We’ve got some good ones coming up in the neighborhood:

Babies & Books
When: Wednesday, February 26, 10am & 10:30am
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Bring your kids up to 18 months old to enjoy books, songs, and rhymes.
How much: Free, but space is limited. Pick up a ticket at the Children’s Reference Desk on the morning of the program; call 718-230-2117 for more info.

Tweeting And Texting Tweens: Parenting In A Digital Age
When: Wednesday, February 26, 6:30pm
Where: The Old Stone House, 336 3rd Street
What: Need help managing your kids’ (and your own) digital relationships? Park Slope Parents is hosting this forum, where media literacy educator Katherine G. Fry will provide some guidance about growing up in a digitally-connected world.
How much:

$10 for PSP members, $15 for non-members

Story Craft
When: Thursday, February 27, 3:30pm
Where: Pacific Library, 25 4th Avenue
What: Kids up to age 5 are welcome to hear a story, then make a craft.
How much: Free!

Ezra Jack Keats Bedtime Stories
When: Thursday, February 27, 7pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Definitely seems like a good time to read The Snowy Day! Librarians will read a book aloud to children ages 3-7 and lead singing, rhyming, and playing activities related to the themes and images of the book. At the end of each session, every child is given a free copy of one of Mr. Keats’ books to keep.
How much: Free!

Explore & Create: Arts And Crafts For Kids
When: Friday, February 28, 4pm
Where: Park Slope Library, 431 6th Avenue
What: A weekly, free drop-in program where kids can roll up their sleeves and explore their artistic side. This week kids will make an African masai necklace in honor of Black History Month.
How much: Free!

Sigma Storytime
When: Saturday, March 1, 12pm
Where: Central Library, Youth Wing, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Volunteers from the Brooklyn Alumni Chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity read stories to children ages 3-8.
How much: Free!

Jazz For Kids
When: Saturday, March 1, 1pm
Where: Central Library, Dweck Center, 10 Grand Army Plaza
What: Christiana Drapkin introduces young audiences to the names and sounds of some jazz greats like Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker, and Thelonious Monk, and the children get a chance to sing along.
How much: Free!

Drawing Party With Raina Telgemeier, Dave Roman & Laura Lee Gulledge
When: Saturday, March 1, 3-5pm
Where: Bergen Street Comics, 470 Bergen Street
What: Three cartoonists are throwing a kid’s drawing party, featuring snacks, drinks, and door prizes. Then from 7-9pm, there’s a party for adults, though kids are welcome to hang out for that Q&A session if they like.
How much: Free!

A Fab Beatles Singalong
When: Sunday, March 2, 4-6pm
Where: Tea Lounge, 837 Union Street
What: Join Books by Brooklyn and Music Together of Park Slope an all-ages Beatles singalong and karaoke/acoustic jam, while celebrating the new book, Raising a Beatle Baby: How John, Paul, George and Ringo Helped us Come Together as a Family, by Brooklyn-based author Jere Hester.
