Photos: Sunday Night Car Accident In Manhattan Beach

10

It’s been a while since we’ve caught an accident in accident-prone Manhattan Beach, but this one landed in our inbox shortly after midnight on Sunday.

Reader Sasha V. sent in this photo of an accident cleanup. She wrote:

Huge car accident on oriental blvd & girard on manhattan beach. 2 cars. Both totaled. I don’t know if anyone got hurt it didn’t seem that way.

And here’s another photo, from reader Henry, who added that this occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday:

We’ll let you know if we hear any more.

  1. When people are reckless you have accidents. It’s that simple. I doubt it if road conditions played a part. The other week I posted how someone leaving Kingsborough was speeding at about 40 mph on Shore Blvd on the wrong side of the road and right through the red light. If a car was traveling north on Ocean Avenue at the time, there would have been a fatal accident. Who checks the wrong side of the road especially when you have the green light.

We will continue to have accidents as long as people do not act responsibly and while the City only cares about ticketing at expired meters and not having enough officers out there to keep us safe by ticketing reckless driving. The Belt Parkway is the only place where there is some enforcement against speeders. A two week ticket blitz and parking empty police scooters accomplish nothing.

  2. I love how all (okay, okay), most Russians think they’re either Vin Diesel or Paul Walker and they’re definitely not…

  3. Passengers were American not Russian. No Russian would be caught dead driving a Hyundai. Don’t make retarded comments.
