Phone Store Robbery Near Broadway Junction

The NYPD is seeking assistance in identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery on Sunday, August 6, near Broadway Junction.

At 3:25pm an individual entered the Metro PCS store at 142 Rockaway Ave and displayed a handgun, demanding money and property from a 27-year old male employee, police said.

The employee handed over about $290 in cash, 8 cell phones, and his wedding band, police said.

Police described the individual as a black male, last seen wearing a dark-colored bucket hat, a gray t-shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. The individual fled the store northbound on Rockaway Ave, said police.
